Adult Family Living (AFL) Program

At Gifted Hands Homecare, we’re proud to support Connecticut families through the Adult Family Living (AFL) program, which allows qualifying caregivers to receive compensation for assisting an elderly family member or friend with daily personal care tasks. Whether you help with bathing, dressing, hygiene, or mobility, this program is designed to honor the value of care provided at home—while helping your loved one remain in a safe and familiar environment.

Through the AFL program, clients over the age of 65 can stay in their homes and communities with the support of a trusted caregiver who lives in the same household. Caregivers—often family members or close friends—receive weekly compensation for the care they provide, along with guidance and supervision from a licensed homecare agency like Gifted Hands. Our team is here to help you every step of the way, from assessing eligibility to submitting your referral and beginning services.
